A routine check-up
It is usual for celebrities in the jungle to undergo routine check-ups to ensure they are still healthy and aren’t experiencing any health issues.
The routine check-up includes regular blood work, which they also undergo before heading to Australia as well as before heading into the jungle.
Attwood revealed that she had a blood test on the first night, which then led to her exit from the jungle.
Olivia opens up about her health
Attwood revealed to Mail On Sunday that she was rushed to the hospital after her routine blood test came back saying she was anaemic:
I was so scared, I was like: ‘What the hell is wrong with me?’
They couldn’t give me an answer, they just told me that they had to get me to the hospital immediately.
She then went on to explain that when she had the same tests done in England, they were ‘normal’. What made the exit more surprising was that her tests also came back normal once at the hospital. So why did she have to leave?
Attwood admitted that after her tests came back normal at the hospital, she wanted to return to camp. However, ITV was reluctant to allow her back on the show:
They said because of the results the show’s medical team got from my readings, they were not happy to sign me off to come back in, even though I had the clean bill of health from the hospital.
If I went back into camp, they feared my levels might drop and it could be detrimental to my health and wellbeing.
She also talked about the fact that if she decided to enter the camp without approval, she would no longer be insured. Once she landed back in England, she had more tests done, which also came back normal.
Finally, when she was asked if she would receive her full pay, which is rumoured to be between £100,000 and £125,000, she said:
