Kim’s and Usman’s relationship
Fans are outraged at Kim’s perseverance as she pursues Usman, who seems like he only wants her as an entryway into the States. As per Screenrant, Usman wants to have a child, and Kim is too old to give him a child. Kim has agreed to her fiancé having many wives, and his mother has also said he needs to marry a younger woman. Hence, the couple has decided to enter into a polyamorous relationship, wherein Usman marries another woman too.
The roadblock in their plan
As Kim and Usman are deciding their way forward in a polygamous marriage, they are posed with a challenge. Kim has learned that Usman taking another wife does not align with US immigration laws, according to People.
In a clip that provides a sneak peek at the next episode, Kim is seen talking to her lawyer about their ‘special’ marital situation. The couple has drawn out a contract that says that Usman should be allowed to take a younger wife in the future. The lawyer confirmed to the couple that this was prohibited in the US, as a polygamous marriage will result in Usman losing his green card.
Kim looks visibly disappointed and said that Usman probably won’t want to marry her if he can’t take a second wife. Fans globally haven’t taken this well, and are calling Usman’s ‘love’ for Kim a sham in order to attain a green card.
