Made famous around the world for her (short) porn career, which only lasted a few months before she was forced to retire following several threats, Mia Khalifa didn’t get quite the fortune from her adult films that people think she did. In fact, far from it!
‘Never saw a penny again after that’
During an interview with the Life Coach, Megan Abbott, Kalifa claims that the porn industry isn’t actually as profitable as you might think. From the few films that she appeared in, she only earned… $10,000 in total. Mia Khalifa wrote in a Tweet:
People think I’m racking in millions from porn. Completely untrue. I made a TOTAL of $10,000 in the industry and never saw a penny again after that. Difficulty finding a normal job after quitting porn was… scary.
Forced into retirement… by ISIS
To recap, Mia Khalifa confessed the reason she gave up her porn career in February 2018 during her appearance on the podcast The Forward with the former cycling champion Lance Armstrong.
