A British actress, Tanya Fear who appeared in the sci-fi series Doctor Who in 2018 has been found safe after she was reported missing in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to family and friends, Fear, 31, was last seen on Thursday.
A Twitter account set up to find her, @FindTanyaFear, had a statement from the family saying they were relieved to have their daughter back safe and sound.
According to the statement, Fear left her apartment in the Hollywood Bowl area on September 09 without her phone or purse.
Prior to being found, she was last seen at 22:00 local time:
wearing a short-sleeved brown collared fitted top with a few buttons at the top and dark plaid pants (I think they are pants but could be shorts or something else).
A friend reported her missing on the same day.
Her distraught mother, Yvonne Marimo had said in the statement:
I am devastated about this situation, and appeal to anyone with information to please come forward and bring our daughter home safely.
The statement also said the family wanted police in Los Angeles to investigate her disappearance while they apply for visas to travel to the US to launch their own search.
‘This is Just the Beginning’
The actress, whose real name is Tanyaradzwa Fear, had been performing stand-up comedy in L.A. for the past couple of months, according to her manager.
Alex Cole told ABC News, his client appeared to be doing fine when they spoke eight days prior to her disappearance on Thursday.
Since she's been here, she's had a great career and this is just the beginning. We're obviously concerned and (hope) we find out this is a simple mistake and we find her.
Fear has also appeared in TV's Spotless, Endeavour, DCI Banks and Midsomer Murders.
She was also seen in the movie Kick-Ass 2.
