There’s no denying that Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott are a reality TV super couple. Whilst he’s been in the public eye since 2013 thanks to E4’s Made in Chelsea, Zara shot to fame in the Love Island villa in summer 2018. They've now been dating for over a year, with Zara even joining the cast of MIC.

Shortly before he started dating Zara, Sam had appeared on E4’s Celebs Go Dating - and although they didn’t meet on the show, Sam has now credited the series’ dating gurus with making his relationship with Zara happen. He gushed:
The teachings you have all given me has allowed me to succeed in my relationship so I am eternally grateful.
Meanwhile, Celebs Go Dating's resident dating expert Paul C Brunson pressed Sam on when he'd be popping the question, saying:
I have one question, have you proposed to your girlfriend? Sam, this is very important, you two are perfect, make that happen, put a ring on it. You need to propose by the end of the year.
But it seemed Sam was one step ahead - as he confirmed 'I actually will.'
Rocky relationship
Whilst Sam and Zara seem to be blissfully happy at the moment, their relationship hasn't always run smoothly. Earlier this year, Made in Chelsea viewers saw them clash as Zara grew jealous of Sam's relationship with his ex-girlfriend Tiffany Watson. The most recent series ended on a blazing row between the pair - but it seems they've definitely patched things up since.
Of course, Zara also has a famous ex - having found love with bad boy Adam Collard on Love Island 2018. They dated for six months outside the villa and even got matching tattoos before their messy break-up in February 2019. Adam has had a number of flings since then - but seems to be currently single.
