It’s been a big year for Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling. After getting engaged in February, they secretly tied the knot in November and have now announced that they are expecting a baby together in early 2021. After revealing the happy news on Instagram, Laura has since given her first magazine interview about her pregnancy.

It was difficult to keep it a secret
Speaking to Hunger magazine, she revealed that it had been a struggle to keep her pregnancy a secret whilst continuing her busy work schedule. She said:
I found the first three months really hard because I was very sick and nauseous. There were a few times on live radio where I actually got physically sick during the show.
Laura continued:
I had one guest in the studio and to this day she still doesn't know that I'm pregnant, and I think she just thought I was hungover. I had to run out of the studio and she had to ask herself her own question live on air because I had disappeared! I can't even describe it because every week is so different.

March will be a busy month
Laura also revealed in the interview that she and Iain discovered the sex of their baby early on–but they’re not sharing it publicly. The little one is due around March–the same time that Laura’s first bookNo One Can Change Your Life Except For You is set to be released, which she says is just a coincidence but will make for a busy month!
