Based on Luke Jennings' Codename Villanelle novella series, the BBC's eight-part thriller Killing Eve was one of the standout dramas of 2018. Jodie Comer put in an incredible performance as cold-blooded assassin Villanelle, who has a penchant for high fashion and becomes obsessed with the MI5 agent, Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) who is tracking her down.

Season 1 of Killing Eve ended in spectacularly dramatic fashion as, *SPOILER ALERT*, Eve broke into Villanelle's Paris flat and managed to seduce the assassin, before taking a knife to her stomach which left Villanelle fighting for her life.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the new trailer shows that Villanelle definitely does surprise the stabbing - and it looks like she and Eve are thrust back into their dangerous game of cat and mouse as their story continues...
