Royal Wedding: Katy Perry's Brutal Comments On Meghan Markle

Last Saturday 19th May, millions tuned in to watch the Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle. Whilst millions came out in support and praise for the happy couple, heaps of haters came out of the woodwork to give their scathing judgements. Among the critiques was fellow American and pop star, Katy Perry… and she didn’t hold back!

The Royal Marriage between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was one of the most historic events in the last decade. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot on Saturday in an event celebrated by millions across the globe.

Savage

Perhaps one of the most notable critiques was American pop star Katy Perry. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, on the eve of the first American Idol finals, she gave her frankly savage opinion on the Duchess of Sussex’s ceremony.

In what some would call an act of petty jealousy, Katy Perry chimed in and shared all, tearing down the wedding. Her comments left quite a few people shocked, and many others asking the question: why does she think her opinion on the subject matter?

Classic and Elegant

Despite the negative comments about the wedding and in particular, the bride, many people came out in support of Meghan. Many users on social media felt that she proudly represented everything it meant to be a proud woman. No extravagant makeup, no massive over the top dress, just a classic, elegant attire that displayed a real, simple beauty.

Meghan Markle even wore a dress designed by Clare Waight Keller, a British designer working for Givenchy. A dress that was classic and traditional as it was elegant and beautiful.

Can't please everyone

While she may have drawn some detractors, most notably Katy Perry (who cares?), the marriage between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was a spectacular ceremony that had millions upon millions of eyes across the globe glued to the screen.
