Colonel Vadim Boyko, involved closely in Vladimir Putin’s mobilisation campaign of reservists for the Ukraine War, has been found dead in his office under mysterious circumstances.

Mysterious circumstances
Boyko worked in an elite military academy in Vladivostok in the Primorsky region of Russia. He was spotted by witnesses going to his office; moments later, five shots were heard. A subordinate ran to his office only to find Boyko’s dead body, Daily Mail reports.
The news about Boyko's death broke from the Telegram channel ‘Baza’, which reportedly has close sources in Russia’s law-enforcement services.
At the crime scene, investigators found five case shellings and four pistols. Initially, authorities believed this was a case of suicide, then a murder probe was opened, only to revert to suicide as the likely cause of death five days later.
However, ‘Baza’ has reportedly put into question how a man could commit suicide by firing five shots to his chest.
Newsweek reports that Boyko was involved in working with the mobilised reservists, he was also responsible for the armament and ammunition of the elite academy.
Attacks on mobilisation offices and officers keep mounting
The news about Boyko’s death comes a month after the body of Roman Malyk, 49, was found on a fence. Malyk was also a military officer involved in the mobilisation campaign in the same Primorsky region.
According to the Daily Mail, ever since Vladimir Putin has called on reservists to report to the military and boost his army in Ukraine, more than 100 mobilisation offices across Russia have been mysteriously attacked with Molotov Cocktails.
