Rumors have been circulating about Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin for a long time, and not just since the start of the war in Ukraine. Now, once again, there is a spike in speculation about his state of health.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is constantly faced with rumors - especially about his state of health. Every public appearance ofthe dictator is closely scrutinized for indications of possible illnesses - Parkinson's disease or even cancer have been suspected.

Shortly after a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, a Kremlin insider has now further fueled the rumors about Vladimir Putin's state of health. According to him, it could even have been the last meeting between the two heads of state.

Putin is said to be 'half dead'

According to news.de magazine, this unknown insider spoke on the Telegram channel 'General SVR' about the meeting between Putin and Lukashenko in Sochi, Russia, last Friday. He called it a 'pleasant event' for Putin - his following comments, however, have raised eyebrows.

According to the report, Putin 'has not met with anyone recently due to a serious illness'. The meeting, which was also reported by Deutschlandfunk, held no other particular interest, but the insider believes it is possible that it was Putin's last meeting with Lukashenko, since the Russian president is already 'half dead'.

Not the first rumors

How reliable this information actually is cannot be said for sure. However, this is not the first time that the health of the Russian president has been flagged within a very short time period.

Just recently, a video made the rounds in which the Kremlin leader was seen meeting with North Korea's dictator Kim Jong-un. Strange leg movements ofthe Russian president have also raised numerous questions among observers.
