Christmas is a week away! Many will have all of their Christmas shopping ready, however, as you make the final touches on your Christmas dinner or even just decorations or presents, you may discover that you have certain things missing.

This means that you would need to go to the shops last minute! If this was any other time of year, it wouldn’t be a problem, but it is Christmas and many shops change their hours so their staff can enjoy the Christmas mood.

To help, we have the all opening times for the popular shops, Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s!

What are Tesco’s opening hours around Christmas?

If your closest shop is Tesco and you need to do some last-minute shopping, you will be glad to know that they are open on Christmas Eve, but the shops will close early. However, if you know you tend to run out of things over Christmas and Boxing Day, be sure to stock up as they close on both days.

  • Christmas Eve: 10 am – 4 pm
  • Christmas Day: Closed
  • Boxing Day: Closed

What are Sainsbury’s opening hours around Christmas?

If you tend to shop at Sainsbury’s and have one close to you for last-minute shopping, you should know that it is closed on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day, but is open on Christmas Eve, but again, they will close early to allow for their staff to spend the evening with family.

  • Christmas Eve: 11 am – 5 pm
  • Christmas Day: Closed
  • Boxing Day: Closed

Once again, it is best to check your local store’s opening time, as the times could change depending on the area.

What are Asda’s opening hours around Christmas?

Finally, if you are loyal to Asda and that’s your local supermarket, you’ll be glad to know that the shops are open on Christmas Eve, but also on Boxing Day, so if you run out of chocolate or any other Christmas goodies, you can stock up. Naturally, Asda will be closed on Christmas Day.
