Born in 1983, Bubbles was quickly adopted by Michael Jackson. But while he was destined for a royal life, his owner was forced to give him away in 2003. Having become too big, strong but above all aggressive, the King of Pop had no choice but to give Bubbles up.

This was a great shock in the life of the monkey who then tried to commit suicide. News that moved America quite a bit at the time. But 15 years after this event, what has happened to Bubbles the chimpanzee?

A peaceful life

It was the tabloid The Mirror who wanted to find the trace of the former King of Pop’s companion. Unfortunately for him, the monkey had been completely abandoned by the Jackson family.

Since his former owner's death, the only visit he had received from the family had been that of La Toya in 2010, for a documentary! Sad news, but that didn’t stop him from enjoying his life as a former animal star.

Now 34 years old, this great chimpanzee is happily living on a reserve in Florida where he has lived since 2005. Take a look at the video above to see Bubbles today!
