'It Will Come To An End': ITV Boss Speaks Out On Love Island Mental Health Criticism

Ever since the tragic death of Mike Thalassitis, Love Island has come under heavy criticism from both fans and past contestants for the alleged lack of aftercare put in place for contestants.

Love Island bosses have already confirmed that new measures will be put in place to protect future Love Islanders - including offering therapy post-show to all Islanders, not only those who reach out.

However, with more and more people calling on reality TV producers to put more stringent measures in place to protect contestants from the effects overnight fame can have on their mental health, ITV's Chief Executive, Dame Carolyn McCall has now spoken out about claims the show doesn't do enough for its contestants.
