While we all love the convenience of picking up fast-food from the drive-thru lane especially when we happen to be in a hurry, we must be mindful of the employees who serve us at these places. Very often they are under a lot of pressure to offer the best service in the quickest possible time.

The TikTok by the McDonald's drive-thru employee

In the video, he writes,

Stop saying hello one millisecond after getting to the speaker it only gonna make us take forever to take your order.

The TikToker implies that when at a drive-thru, patience is definitely a virtue. You should wait for the fast-food employee to let you know that they are ready for you.

With a million things to take care of back there, it is in poor taste to rush the employees before they even have a chance to give you the go-ahead. Employees dislike this move so much that it could actually affect the time it takes them to take your order.
