On 6th January 2019, the 76th ceremony of the Golden Globes was in full swing in the United States. For the occasion, a huge audience of stars made the journey to see who would win these prestigious awards. But during the ceremony, two actors caused a hype online when they took a selfie that no one expected and was then posted on Instagram by Sabrina Dhowre, Idris Elba’s wife. The actor and Daniel Craig were pulling funny faces in the photo which started the rumour about who would be the next actor to play James Bond.

A rumour that has spread like wildfire
According to many people in the industry, Idris Elba could be the next actor to play agent 007 on the big screen after Daniel Craig officially announced that he would not be continuing in this role. The man who was elected the sexiest man in 2018 also published a catchphrase on his Twitter account that made fans go crazy: ‘The name’s Elba, Idris Elba.’
But when he was questioned about this on Good Morning Britain, he denied the claim with a simple ‘no’. However, during the Golden Globes, the mysterious actors once again rocked the boat online. The photo was even shared by Idris Elba on his Instagram story.
