Netflix: The Platform Has Revealed Its Biggest Project Ever (And It’s Exactly What We’ve Been Waiting For)

‘The Gray Man’ is an up-and-coming Netflix-produced film that is currently gaining momentum and apparently, they will end up spending a pretty penny to produce it.

Netflix will never die! This streaming platform is constantly releasing ambitious movies and TV shows and now there’s one more to add to the list: ‘The Gray Man’. But there’s a big reason this particular movie is so popular at the moment. As it turns out, it will be the biggest production in the history of Netflix!

In fact, it will end up costing upward of $200 million, $40 million more than was spent on Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’. But what is ‘The Gray Man’? It’s a film directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (Avengers: Endgame), adapted from a novel written by Mark Greaney.

But perhaps the most impressive thing about this project is the cast: Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling will be playing the two lead roles and they are planning to begin shooting the movie in January, if the coronavirus pandemic allows it, of course.

But what is the plot for ‘The Grey Man’? The thriller that promises to be action-packed follows the story of Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), a former CIA agent turned hitman, who is hunted down across the globe by Llyod Hansen (Chris Evans), one of his former colleagues at the CIA. Director Anthony Russo explained to Deadline:

‘The movie is a real mano a mano between those two great actors who represent two different versions of the CIA, in what it can be, and what it can do. […] For those who were fans of Captain America: Winter Soldier, this is us moving into that territory in more of a real-world setting. That’s what this movie really means for us.’

We can’t wait to see it!
