As Sam Thompson is crowned the winner of the show with Josie Gibson making it to the top 5, Good Morning Britain star Richard Arnold recently teased he could be on the show next year.

Good Morning Britain’s Richard Arnold hints I’m A Celeb candidature

The 54-year-old entertainment reporter had just returned from Australia after covering the show. While he was on-site for his assignment, reportedly, he was made a proposal by show hosts Ant and Dec to be a part of next year’s line up.

The personal request video was played on Thursday morning on GMB where Ant and Dec were seen inviting Richard into the critter-filled camp, promising him a ‘hammock’ was waiting. Seeing the personalized invite by Ant and Dec, hosts Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins quizzed him about being the next campmate, confirmed The Sun. Richard replied:

You would love nothing more.
Would I? It's a stellar invite from Ant and Dec.
I am at a time of life where if one door opens you walk through it - if your knees can make it.
So I don't know.

This comes days after ITV revealed they will ‘think twice’ before casting a politician in the upcoming series. After Nigel Farage clashed with I’m A Celeb bosses and crew over trials, his nude showering and derogatory comments made by channel boss Kevin Lygo.

In his response he said:

I would suggest, Mr Lygo, that I am prepared to ignore your rude, one-handed gestures, the rude pathetic attempts from your staff to stitch me up.
If you really want to go to war with me, I don’t think it would do ITV share prices a lot of good.

Meanwhile, a source told The Sun:

I’m A Celeb has always always cast divisive characters but now we think it’ll be a case of thinking twice.
Nigel’s MO is all about making it seem like the establishment is against him but no one expected it to become that hand that fed him.
This is the problem with having politicians on; they are usually in it to further their political standing.
Never say never but it sounds like it has cast doubt high-up on having another politician on.
