After the Fantastic Beasts franchise failed to deliver results commercially and critically, Warner Bros. is rumoured to be trying out their luck with their most popular and profitable movie Franchise – Harry Potter. Looks like the DC Universe is not the only franchise to undergo a major reboot.

New Harry Potter
According to one of the latest tweets by Entertainment Analyst, wdwpro, (Warner Bros. Discovery), the entertainment studio is looking to re-enter the wizarding world in the next 3-5 years. Comicbookmovie.com claims that the reboot could include looking at the storyline through the lens of a different character.

WBD is reportedly looking to reboot the Harry Potter film franchise, including recasting, in the next 3-5 years.
We will release some details of how I became aware of this information, presented by a source, on the @ValliantRenegad channel tomorrow morning.
What’s more interesting is the idea of recasting the core characters – as the original Harry Potter cast is unwilling to even return for an adaptation of The Cursed Child. The fresh spin to the story would still include starting the journey with Philosopher's (or Sorcerer's) Stone and ending with the Deathly Hallows, however, the reboot is still in the ‘early stages’ to make any comments on it.

Could The Cursed Child go to big screens?
Warner Bros. executives had earlier claimed that ‘something’ is in the works. Although it is still unknown if it is a full-blown reboot of classic Harry Potter movies or just an adaptation of The Cursed Child. Comicbookmovie.com reported that the executives are keen to develop a two-part big-screen adaption of the Cursed Child to keep the franchise on screen.

Currently, the book is adapted only as a play in London's West End and on Broadway. The biggest problem that Warner Bros. could face is getting J.K Rowling on board with the idea as the author has allegedly lost interest in the wizarding world. Whether it's a remake of the franchise or just a new addition to the existing one, a clear picture can only emerge by 2025.
