However, even after he created an account on OnlyFans, he made it clear that his content wouldn’t be sexual. Rather it would be ‘workout videos’ and ‘cheekier gym-progress posts,’ reported Out. His idea was to use this type of content at a platform where age restrictions were handled better.

However, it was recently reported that young children were being exploited on the adult platform and child abuse images are still ‘slipping through’ occasionally on the platform. In wake of this, John posted on his Instagram that he cannot be associated with a platform facing such serious accusations. He wrote:

Following the news today alleging that users of the OnlyFans platform are still able to exploit young children, I have taken the decision to close down my account.

Acknowledging the allegations are ‘yet to be proven/refuted,’ he added:

I cannot morally continue to use a platform that is subject to such serious allegations.
Exploitation of children is abhorrent and it is incumbent on corporations such as OnlyFans to ensure they have the most advanced filter systems in place to prevent and report such activity.

How safe is OnlyFans?

He captioned the post stating child exploitation is abhorrent and should be stopped. The 33-year-old former GBBO star also made it clear that he wouldn’t make a comeback on the platform until the issue is completely resolved. He added:

I won’t put profit before social purpose.

Meanwhile, OnlyFans CEO Amrapali Gan issued a statement addressing the situation and said:

We actively work with law enforcement. If anyone makes the mistake thinking they can upload illegal content, we will report them. We’re truly the safest and most inclusive social media platform.
