BGT’s United 2 Dance audition 2023

According to The Sun, United 2 Dance’s performance reduced the judges to tears as they watched a Ukrainian schoolboy dance after fleeing the war-torn country. The dance group was surprised by BGT judge Bruno Tonioli - who had a difficult few days this year - at Madame Tussauds. The newest judge on the panel pretended to be a wax statue before unfreezing and surprising the kids.

The video on Instagram shows how Nazarii Miroshnychenko was the reason behind the Dance group’s performance on stage. The 10-year-old Ukrainian kid moved to the UK eight months ago with his mother and siblings.

Nazarii’s mother Olena Lazurko contacted the BGT bosses and explained how United 2 Dance welcomed the mother-son duo and embraced them as their own.

The dance group wowed the audiences and judges at the London Palladium and Nazarii went on to say:

My mum and dad wanted me to dance Ukrainian folk dancing, but I got into ballroom dancing instead.
I like dancing in the UK more than in Ukraine. I get to learn new moves, although I miss my coaches back in the Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Nazarii’s mother revealed that the dance group sponsored her kid and taught him basic conversational English to survive in the country. Nazarii’s father was left behind in their homeland to fight Russia.
