Prince William – the new prince of Wales – has been very vocal about the disaster and torture that the BBC’s ‘deceitful’ Panorama interview was for the Royal Family. After it was brought to light that the interview was secured through falsified means, Prince William urged the broadcasters to never use it again.

Making money out of misery

However, seeing thatThe Crown’s new season is dedicating an entire episode to the Panorama interview, Prince William is furious as the streaming giant makes money out of the Royal Family’s misery.

According to The Sun, Prince William is angered about the ‘dramatisation of it [BBC’s Panorama interview] for financial gain.’ A source also claims that he has made his feelings about the interview ‘very clear’ since the start. He also previously said that the interview ‘let my mum, family and Britain down.’

The source added that the Prince of Wales feels that a fictional depiction of the deceitful event would be ‘met in the way you would expect.’

Never broadcast it

Prince William has earlier urged the broadcasters that since the interview holds no legitimacy, it should never be broadcast ever again. However, the BBC has monopolised the false narrative for 25 years and now Netflix is about to do the same.

He also confessed that the interview personally brought him ‘indescribable sadness,’ as it added to the ‘fear, paranoia and isolation’ that his mother – Princess Diana – felt during the years leading up to her death.

Meanwhile, Netflix has defied all such concerns and is going to explicitly show the details of the interview in an entire episode of the upcoming season. Season 5 will cover the drama that unfolded from 1991 to 1996 between Diana, Charles and Camilla and has King Charles and Diana’s marriage as a theme running through the entire season.
