Kate was spotted with Prince William going to a farm shop near their house. Analysis of the video leaked in the media resulted in many conspiracy theories including that it wasn’t Kate Middleton in the video.

Boris Johnson’s sister claims Kate Middleton was not at the ‘farm shop’

Boris Johnson’s sister Rachel Johnson has claimed that she has observed the video in detail and her analysis explains why it couldn’t be Kate Middleton in the video. According to TheMirror, the sister of the former prime minister noted a few ‘red flags’ in the video.

In her column for the Evening Standard, she wrote how she was left questioning her own sanity seeing Kate Middleton carrying a shopping bag. She wrote:

No husband would allow a wife who is convalescing to carry anything, let alone a well-brought-up Prince of the Blood, let alone a bulging plastic bag of groceries.
Two, the woman looked nothing like Kate. She was younger, slimmer, faster — almost a walking advertisement for abdominal surgery.

Kate has been spotted in public three times during her recovery period so far including the time when she was spotted in a car with Prince William on his way to Commonwealth Day celebrations. Many Royal fans have claimed that the people filmed were the couple’s lookalikes, but the man who filmed the video has confirmed that the couple were definitely William and Kate.

Who is Rachel Johnson?

Born in September 1965, Rachel studied at Oxford and was also the editor of the famous student newspaper Isis. After her graduation, Rachel pursued a career in Journalism despite having the option to get into politics. In her career, Rachel has written many columns for the Financial Times, BBC, Evening Standard and many more.

PR expert comment on Farm shop video

Meanwhile, a PR expert has backed the move as he talks about how the appearance was a well-thought-out move by the Royals. Speaking to The Mirror, PR and crisis management expert, Edward Coram-James explained that Kate has been 'nailing' her response to the outcry of her whereabouts. Her non-indulgence in gossip is further a PR move by the couple.

Three of Kate’s unofficial appearances have been a very ‘careful’ message to the public. Edward shared:

The only actions that Kate's team has taken to date have also been (close to) pitch perfect.
These are probably (but not definitely) highly curated and very much planned messages to the public. They give photographers the opportunity to photograph the princess, thus reassuring the world that the rumours have no footing.
