Last year’s Love Island winners – Millie Court and Liam Reardon – announced yesterday that they have parted ways. It looked like even after a year of being together the two had grown apart in recent months. However, there might have been a final blow that could have given it all away.
Is this play about them?
The Sun reports that last week Millie posted a video on her TikTok that may have been a hint towards the impending break-up. This season’sLove Island has been one of the most dramatic seasons ever and Casa Amor was just icing on the cake. It was after the Casa Amor recoupling that Millie posted this video.
In the video that she has captioned ‘POV: Watching Casa Amor recoupling,’ she can be seen lip-syncing the lines from HBO's Euphoria teen drama that say:
Is this play about us?
Apparently, this year’s recoupling drama may have freshened up her memories of last season. During the last season, Liam strayed away for a bit in Casa Amor and kissed Lillie Haynes before getting cosy with her. However, he decided to recouple with Millie once Casa Amor ended – kind of what happened between Paige and Jacques this season.
If fans are to believe, this season’s Casa Amor recoupling may have triggered Millie Court. Mirror confirms that many fans shared the same opinion and they voiced it on Twitter. Some of them wrote:
This year's Casa Amor must have brought back past traumas.
I swear it was watching this year's Casa Amor that did it.
Some even claimed that the entire Paige and Jacques situation may have given Millie and epiphany and would have prompted her to reflect on their relationship. Another added:
Millie saw [a recent episode with] Paige and Jacques and it appears finally realised how much of a mug she looked to take back Liam.
Millie and Liam's split was definitely triggered by the Paige and Jaques situation. [Brought] up a lot I'm sure.
