When will the show end?

While ITV hasn’t announced an end date for the show, it was announced earlier that it would run for a total of eight weeks. So, according to Mirror, the show is likely to come to an end on August 1. That is, if we calculate it from the day the first episode was aired – June 6.

What happens at the end?

In the final, the public gets a chance to choose their favourite couple. Previously, Paige and Jacques had been leading the odds of winning the show, but after his shocking exit from the show, there’s no clear winner here.

If this year will be anything like the other seasons, then the couple who wins will get two envelopes – one with £50,000 prize money and one without. And whosoever has the prize money envelope will get to decide if the couple shares the amount or they keep it all to themselves.

Upcoming seasons

As the summer of love would end, fans can prepare themselves for the winter of love. ITV2 confirmed a couple of weeks ago that Love Island will return for a winter series this year. A new group of Islanders will go to South Africa in January for the new season of the show, which will air on ITV2 and the brand-new channel ITVX.

Producers have not yet formally welcomed applicants for next year, but it is not expected to be different than the already published application procedure for the 2022 series, MailOnline reports. Those who want to become contestants on the Love Island winter series must register, complete an online form, and accept the terms and conditions of the show.
