Antigoni Buxton and Jacques O’Neill both entered the Love Island villa as a bombshell. And while Antigoni’s Love Island journey was barely for a few days, she and Jacques formed a close relationship in the villa. Ever since Jacques returned from the villa, he has been seen hanging out with Antigoni and even labelled her ‘bestie.’
Friends or more?
Earlier this month they took their mums out for lunch together. And now these two former Islanders are on a day trip to Manchester, confirms The Sun. The two have been getting closer ever since Jacques quit the villa.
Antigoni posted a series of stories of the two dining together and partying on her Instagram account. When they arrived, the singer took Jacques to a meal at her mom Tonia Buxton’s famous restaurant chain – The Real Greek.
Meanwhile, the rugby lad also seems to enjoy Antigoni’s company and hangs out with her quite often. Antigoni has also been seen defending Jacques publicly, as she said in an interview that he has a lovely side to him that not many people know about. She told Digital Spy:
In terms of a fair light, I feel like Jacques has been put in quite a bad light and he's actually really lovely.
I don't think viewers are really going to see that, which is a shame, but hopefully, they will do over the coming weeks.
This comes after Jacques removed all proof of his romance with Paige from her Instagram account as the Welsh paramedic is cosying up to Adam Collard. Dumped Islander Coco Lodge also revealed in a candid live chat how Paige was ‘unkind’ to her in the villa. MailOnline reports that Coco confessed:
I don't know if she had a problem because I was also a brunette in there.
Then to go and tell my best friend Summer that she 'didn't like my vibes' when I didn't do anything and I was trying really hard with her [Paige] because she had been the least welcoming to all of us.
Remarking how Paige made fun of her looks and was annoyed when others said that the two looked similar. After everything that has happened, could Jacques be moving on from an ‘unkind’ Paige to a more welcoming Antigoni.
