Eamonn Holmes has had a rollercoaster life both in terms of career and his love life. The star hosted ITV’s This Morning on every Friday and during holidays for 15 years with his wife Ruth Langsford. However, ITV announced in 2020 that they were letting go of the dynamic duo who are dearly loved by the viewers. Eamonn has previously spoken about what he thinks made the show bosses fire him.

Eamonn Holmes reveals he had sexual chemistry with Victoria Smurfit

After leaving ITV, Eamonn joined GB News in January 2022. The 64-year-old is a household name and is often linked together with his wife. The two have hosted Channel 5 specials such as Eamonn And Ruth Do Vegas, and consumer affairs series Do The Right Thing With Eamonn & Ruth. Their bond and the couple’s squabbles on air are adored by many viewers.

Speaking about their 26+ years of relationship, Eamonn has claimed that he can’t live without his wife. As such, it came as a surprise to many of his followers online when he posted on his Instagram that he had sexual chemistry with someone other than Ruth Langsford.

Well, it’s not that serious!

The GB News presenter - who is worth around £3 million - gave his fans a good laugh when he joked about his ‘sizzling sexual chemistry’ with Victoria Smurfit in a mocked-up photo. The pair’s faces were placed on top of John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara in The Quiet Man, reports BirminghamLive. He captioned his Instagram post this way:

Haha this made me laugh 😆 Me and my good pal @Victoriasmurfit as John Wayne & Maureen O’Hara in The Quiet Man. Simmering sexual chemistry 😃😀😄

The Irish actress took to the comment section and replied:

Ha! That was such a fun day! Look at us, we’re fabulous [crying with laughter emojis]. You’ll always be my John Wayne.

Who is Victoria Smurfit?

The 50-year-old is best known for playing Orla O'Connell in the BBC television series Ballykissangel and Cruella de Vil in Once Upon a Time. Victoria has become an Irish household name after her huge on-screen success. According to The Irish Sun, she is a member of one of Ireland’s wealthiest families.

Born in October 1974, Victoria moved to London to be an actress but her breakout role was back home as Orla O'Connell in Ballykissangel. She married Douglas Baxter in 2000 and had three kids with him, but the couple got divorced in 2015. Her eldest daughter Evie suffers from Stargardt’s Macular Dystrophy - an eye condition which leads to blindness. She is now dating Steve Jacobs.
