The confirmation came straight from Georgina Rodriguez herself. In an Instagram post shared from Riyadh, she held hands with Cristiano Ronaldo and captioned the moment with:
Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.
The image featured Rodriguez showing off a striking emerald-cut diamond ring, immediately capturing fans' attention.
As reported by Beinsports, the engagement is the culmination of a relationship that began in 2016 when the couple met at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Georgina worked as a sales assistant.
Just months later, they were publicly seen together at Disneyland Paris. Since then, they’ve built a large and loving family: daughter Alana Martina, twins Bella Esmeralda and the late Ángel, and Ronaldo’s three other children — Cristiano Jr., Eva, and Mateo — whom Georgina also helps raise.
Georgina’s own career has flourished alongside her personal life. Of Spanish-Argentinian heritage, she started as a dancer before moving into luxury retail. Her popularity surged thanks to her Netflix docuseries I Am Georgina, and she has collaborated with brands like Gucci, Chanel, and Prada, while also launching her own fashion label.
The eye-watering value of Georgina Rodriguez's engagement ring
While the couple has not yet disclosed details about the ring, jewellery experts haven’t held back with their analyses. As reported by People, the centre stone is an oval-cut diamond estimated to weigh up to 35 carats, flanked by additional diamonds for a total of 37 carats, all set in platinum.
Tobias Kormind, managing director at 77 Diamonds, believes the ring's worth could reach $5 million. He likened its scale to the famed Taylor-Burton Diamond worn by Elizabeth Taylor.
Experts speculate the ring's design includes a central oval-cut diamond, known for its brilliance and elongating effect, flanked by two matching side stones, likely one carat each. The trio is set in a platinum band, chosen for its durability and ability to enhance the natural whiteness of the diamonds.
Meanwhile, Laura Taylor of Lorel Diamonds described the piece as 'extraordinary', estimating the central stone to be between 15 to 20 carats. She emphasised the brilliance of oval cuts and explained that if the diamond is natural and of top-tier quality, 'its value could easily exceed around $2 million.'
Jewellery enthusiast and social media personality Julia Chafe joined the conversation too, estimating the ring at $3 million. In a light-hearted video, she joked:
To wear this stone regularly, you're going to need finger reconstruction surgery. Just imagine wearing a 100-pound kettlebell on your finger all day, everyday. Painful but worth it.
Adding to the mix, Ann Grimmett, vice president of merchandising at Jared Jewellers, placed an even higher estimate on the ring's worth. She valued it anywhere from $5 million to $15 million.
