Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s relationship had always taken the spotlight from when they got together to when they announced their divorce in 2016. Following this, there has been a lot of speculation regarding Brad Pitt’s strained relationship with his children and incidents of abuse from his end.

Accusation of abuse
As per BBC, Angelina Jolie has filed court papers accusing Pitt of attacking her and their children while drunk during a private plane flight in 2016. She has filed an official report stating that he was physically and mentally abusive to their children during the course of this journey.
According to US Magazine,Pitt was cleared by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
Current relationship with children
Brad is known to be very proud of his children and even talked about his children in his Oscar acceptance speech in 2020. Pitt and Jolie have six children together - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Knox, Shiloh, and Vivienne.
As of 2021, Pitt gained joint custody of their children, who were minors. According to Your Tango, Brad Pitt does not speak to his elder sons—Maddox and Pax. He is, however, said to have a relationship with his younger children. And spends time with them over dinners whenever they are in L.A.
Relationship with Maddox
As per OK Magazine, Brad Pitt is ‘super upset’ about his strained relationship with his son Maddox. Maddox is known to have testified against his father.
It is said that Brad really misses Maddox and wants to reconcile with his son. An unidentified source said:
Brad really misses Maddox and was really hoping to repair their relationship, but he has hit a wall.
Despite Brad reaching out to his son, Maddox is said to be upset about the incident that took place on the flight in 2016.
