In 2022, she was involved in difficult court proceedings during which she faced her ex, Johnny Depp. Both of them were found guilty of mistreating the other, and they had to pay a fine, although it was not an equal amount. Amber Heard was to give her ex more than $10 million, while Johnny Depp was to give her a $2 million. Amber Heard announces she welcomed twins
Indeed, the 39-year-old actress shared an emotional post with her fans on Instagram, announcing the birth of her twins, a girl named Agnes and a boy named Ocean. She wrote:
Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget. This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang.
Although she announced her first ever pregnancy in December 2024 - as she welcomed her first daughter via surrogate -, Amber Heard had not given the sex of the baby, and she definitely didn't say they were twins! She wrote on Instagram:
Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life. I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully.
Amber Heard has insisted she wants to keep her family private, and she never once revealed who the father might be, if there is one. The actress explained she is 'both mum and dad' in her relationship with her kids, hinting that she may be a single mother. She also said she became a mother by herself. This mystery has led several observers to wonder if a high-profile donor might be involved.
Rumours claim Elon Musk may be the father
Indeed, during her trial back in 2022, a friend of her sister's told the court that Amber Heard and billionaire Elon Musk had planned to make babies together. The pair had reportedly dated on-and-off for a couple of years. Jennifer Howell, the former friend, explained the actress was 'in a legal battle with [Musk] over embryos they had created together... He wanted to destroy them, and Amber tried to keep them to have a baby'.
However, this testimony was never admitted into evidence. Rumours that Elon Musk had already fathered the actress' first child were rampant during the trial, and it seems they persist today, although neither party has reacted. It is fairly possible that the actress simply welcomed her babies by herself, and the donor is not relevant to this family.
