Emotions run high in the Love Island villa, and it seems that doesn’t necessarily change once the Islanders leave Majorca. In an interview with The Mirror this week, Love Island 2021 star Sharon Gaffka spoke out about the difficult relationships between some of this year’s stars now the show is over.

Sharon admitted:

It is hard because I want to be friends with everybody, but not everybody is friends with everybody since they left. I feel like I am playing mum and trying to keep the peace with certain people.

Love Island fall-outs

While several Islanders seem to have fallen out with Jake Cornish, Sharon said she’s been glad to see him out and about with friends from the villa and is planning to visit a local restaurant with him at some point soon. She continued:

I obviously was not there for quite a lot of the show where people were making comments about his behaviour, and I am fully aware that things can get lost in translation when it comes to cutting and editing the show. So I try not to make too many assumptions on anyone’s behaviour on the show when I wasn’t there to see it, and that goes for every islander.

Who is Sharon still friends with from Love Island?

Sharon says she’s still ‘very close to a good amount of Islanders’ and regularly chats to bestie Faye Winter as well as Chuggs Wallis and Aaron Francis. Despite their disagreements in the villa about his infamous ‘fake’ comments and him later turning down her romantic advances, Sharon is also still close with Hugo Hammond. She’s also been working alongside Liberty Poole and Kaz Kamwi advertising Liberty’s Boux Avenue collection and the brand’s Big Night In campaign.
