The UK government has set some new regulations regarding its population. A mandatory lockdown is now set in place and the public is being advised to stay at home, safe, excluding a small range of very limited circumstances. People have been handling the news very differently! Love Island star Maura Higgins saw in the new lockdown regulations, a perfect opportunity to make a dig to ex-beau Curtis Pritchard. Whilst Megan Barton-Hanson stripped off to treat her fans to a very sexy photoshoot in her bedroom.

One former islander's comment on the matter did not go unnoticed. Olivia Attwood shared her thoughts regarding her isolation. While stuck at home due to the coronavirus outbreak, Attwood claimed that starring in Love Island and being in the villa 24/7 was a worse experience than being isolated at home.

She added that because contestants were 'controlled and contained', they suffered from not being able to speak to their loved ones or be forced to leave out the front door. Her experience in Love Island was full of ups and downs.

Olivia appeared on the show in 2017 and experienced meltdowns a few times while in the villa. She opened up to the MailOnline:

Obviously there was a big cast and they were constantly playing games with us so we never really got the chance to be bored. It was hot and there was a swimming pool, but we were contained. If anything, it was worse because I couldn't speak to any of my family or go on my phone. Right now I can speak to my genuine friends and I'm not just stuck with a bunch of strangers. We were more contained, there was more control, you couldn't call anyone or go for a walk but with coronavirus, you can walk outside your front door as long as you're in the guidelines. You can make whatever food you want and have a glass of wine, whereas in Love Island you ate when you were told to eat and you had minimal alcohol.
Not to mention the whole country was watching and judging you!

It's safe to say fans were not happy with this statement, branded the glamour ex-islander 'insensitive', one fan wrote:

Haha stupid person, they lived in a villa with a pool and no one was dying and no bills to pay

Another wrote:

How can she say anything was worse than the coronavirus??? Maybe if she gets it she will change her very small mind

She added that she wanted to use this as a chance to 'not wear any makeup and let her skin breathe.' She wants 'to take her extensions out and give her hair some recovering time.'

Perhaps these were some personal opinions she would have been better off keeping to herself...
