Channel 4’s upcoming documentary on what goes behind the drama on Love Island and the life after that caused a lot of controversies. The aforementioned documentary is believed to cover everything – the good, the bad and the ugly – that is not shown on TV.

Who will take part in it?

The docuseries is going to feature interviews with former Islanders from all the eight series of the show so far. The Islanders are expected to talk about behind-the-camera scenes and how their life changed or didn’t change after the show.

Metro.co.uk confirms it will include both success stories and not-so-successful ones. No names have been confirmed as of now, but a source has confirmed that series 5 Maura Higgins and series 3 Oliva Attwood are approached to be a part of the documentary.

The insider confirmed:

Channel 4 approached our agency looking to sign up people who went back to their normal jobs after the show but also the names that became rich and famous.
Maura Higgins has been asked and Olivia Attwood too.

Both Maura and Olivia are surprising names to surface in the media as both of them have done exceptionally well in their careers after their time on the show.

However, if the documentary, as believed, would also show success stories, there couldn’t have been better two names. The source told The Sun:

I was surprised to hear those two names as they both still work really closely with ITV, but I suppose if Channel 4 is including success stories, then you don’t get much better than them.

The host

Not only is Channel 4 approaching people to spill the beans, but also looking for a host from the series itself. Most likely, Love Island: Aftersun regular and podcaster Will Njobvu will be hosting the docuseries. The source added:

They said Will was most likely to be host, which makes total sense as he’s someone most of the Islanders know and trust already.

We were told that the documentary will air before Winter Love Island.
