Curtis and AJ Pritchard are taking another big career step as they’ve just landed roles on long-running Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks. The brothers are set to star in their first ever TV acting roles as twins who will help Denise Welch’s character Trish Minniver to set up a dance school.

AJ Pritchard: ‘Our characters are fantastic’

AJ – who quit Strictly Come Dancing in 2019 – said:

I can't believe we will be featuring on Hollyoaks, we have grown up with the show on TV and it's always been one of our favourite serial dramas. Our characters are fantastic, and we can’t wait for everyone to see how we bring them to life.

Meanwhile, Curtis said:

I am so excited to be working with my brother AJ on a show we grew up watching! I am also excited to continue our journey together with Channel 4 and E4.’ After rising to fame on ITV’s Love Island, Curtis has more recently appeared on E4’s Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion.

Are Curtis and AJ Pritchard twins in real life?

Whilst there’s definitely a clear family resemblance, Curtis and AJ Pritchard aren’t twins in real life. AJ, 26, is two years older than Curtis, who is 24. Both brothers are trained ballroom dancers but have been expanding their careers as reality TV personalities, with Curtis most famously appearing on Love Island and AJ on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

This won’t be the first time the brothers work together, either, as AJ and Curtis launched their own podcast last year, entitled AJ vs Curtis. According to a source who spoke to The Sun, Curtis and AJ are hoping that their Hollyoaks roles will show a different side of their personalities that viewers have not yet seen.
