Stains on the iron are very hard to deal with because, in addition to making ironing difficult, they can also destroy your favourite clothes.

So what do you do? Do you bin the iron and buy a new one? Do you go on with your current one and risk ruining your favourite blouse?

Well, one Australian Facebook group found the best way to make your iron look like new. It's an inexpensive and easy to do trick, and will have your iron in tip-top shape.

How to clean your iron

The first thing you have to do is heat the iron, once it's hot you'll need a pair of tweezers you and a paracetamol tablet.

Rub the paracetamol into the stain and you will see the stain start to come off. Once you manage to remove the thick of it, wipe it with a damp cloth and vinegar.
