This family photo went viral because of its beautiful message

Kristen Bosly is a woman that has struggled with body issues all of her life. After publishing this message and photo on Facebook, the post quickly went viral.

Kristen Bosly published a photo to Facebook of herself and her two kids on holiday. While some find the photo less than noteworthy, it’s rather the message that she accompanied with it that left an impact on social media.

Years of body dysmorphia

Kristen admitted to being ashamed of her weight and feeling guilty about the state of her bodyher entire life. Over the years, she had even refused to pose in photos with her family.

But things changed for Bosly when she looked at the deeper meaning of what pictures can represent. One day, a message she received changed her entire perception of the way she looks at her own body:

Be in pictures with your kids because when you’re gone, the pictures will be all they have left.

A new outlook on her body

Moved by the message, Kristen Bosly decided to get rid of the shame she’s been harbouring about her body. Instead, she has decided to embrace the body she was given so she could use it to spend quality time with her family.

Proving that the Internet is not always a bad place, a flood of support has come in for the mother. Since, she has been able to take photos of herself knowing that—although she might not appreciate them as much—down the line those that love her will have them to keep as memories of her.
