Outside of his EastEnders role, Dean is probably best known for his stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2006. Finishing in fifth-place on the show, he hit headlines when he admitted to fellow campmate David Gest that he had had cheated on his then-fiancée and mother of his twin daughters, Sarah Burge. The couple eventually separated in 2013 after a string of affairs.

Dean has now been in a relationship with 26-year-old model Rebekah Ward for three years and a photo of the couple together with Gaffney's daughters taken back in 2016 has recently resurfaced on the web.
