Biscuits and Gravy the Two Faced Cat Has Sadly Passed Away

Recently one Oregon woman was left shocked after their cat gave birth to a two faced kitten. Adorable janus cat named Biscuits and Gravy took the internet by storm but have since sadly passed away.

Kyla King woke up one morning in her Oregon home to discover that her cathad finally given birth. However, one of the cats had two faces popping out of its head.

A two-faced cat is undoubtedly rare and is due to a genetic mutation called diprosopus. But the phenomenon is common enough to have its own name, Janus cats. Named after the Greek God Janus who also happened to have two faces. Unfortunately, Janus cats don't often live for more than a day.

Biscuits and Gravy hit the internet big time with its strangely adorable face and despite the odds of survival King stated she's do all she could to keep the feline alive. King stated to KOIN:

It doesn't really know how to nurse properly because it has two mouths so I've been trying to feed it. And, I mean, I'm gonna do the best I can, but these animals don't usually live too long.

The newcatmum was also inundated with offers online from cat fanatics desperate to give the kitten a loving home if King ever decided to give her up.

Biscuits and Gravy didn't stand the test of time and passed away just three days after being born. However, there has been one Janus cat that has lived a long and happy life named Frank and Louie or Frankenlouie who lived for fifteen years. The cat was born in 1999 and lived right up until 2014.
