Vladimir Putin has reportedly spent Russian tax dollars to ‘protect’ his 35-year-old daughter, Katerina Tikhonova, during dates in the West.

Over the course of 4 years, she supposedly visited many European cities such as Paris, Munich, and London to visit her lover, the 53-year-old Igor Zelensky (bearing no relation to the current Ukrainian president).

An 'army’ of body guards

According to the Daily Mail, sources have claimed that Putin sent not one, not two, but dozens of intelligence agents to chaperone his daughter’s dates with the former head of the Bavarian State Ballet, who she now shares a daughter with.

During a trip to the Hotel Continental Relax & Spa in Sweden, she was allegedly joined by 10 officers. On a rumored trip to London in 2017, six. Because her so-called ‘army’ of body guards would apparently sleep in adjacent rooms, Putin was probably not short on the details of his daughter’s love life.

Can’t put a price on love

Of course, you can’t put a price on love. Maybe Putin should have, though. Not only did his protective posse apparently cost a considerable amount to Russian taxpayers, leaked secret service papers have revealed that he also allegedly spent a significant amount of state resources on Tikhonova’s international travels.

For example, the Daily Mail reported that it was not unusual for Putin’s daughter to show up to her dates in a private jet – a luxury Gulfstream G650 business jet, to be exact.

Even though Putin is notorious for criticizing Russians who like the West, when it comes to his daughter, it seems he is not hesitant to provide her the best. She was reportedly even recruited to help Russia navigate sanctions imposed by the West, thanks to her father's invasion of Ukraine and her own experience abroad.
