The USDA FSIS advises all consumers who have purchased these products to either throw them away or return them to the place they have purchased them.

According to The Hill, citing The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Listeria contamination causes listeriosis and is a potentially life-threatening condition. They state:

Around 1,600 people get listeriosis every year, resulting in about 260 deaths. It is most likely to sicken pregnant women and their newborns, adults 65 and older, and people with weakened immune systems.
