Last year, missing teen Alex Batty made his way back to the UK after having spent six years on the run with his mother and grandfather, who were not his legal guardians. Now, another missing person case is shaking the UK. There is currently a hunt underway for a 17-year-old who has gone missing in England.

Lidia Lupo was last seen in person at around 4:40pm on Saturday 27 January. She was on Church Street in Preston, Lancanshire. Here’s everything you need to know about the investigation so far.
Lidia on train to airport
Lidia, who has links to Oldham and Manchester, was then spotted on CCTV cameras at Preston railway station on Sunday 28 January at around 2:30pm. Lancashire Constabulary said the teen was seen with an unknown man before catching a train to Manchester Airport.
The police are ‘concerned’ for her welfare and are urging anyone with information to get in touch. Whether you have details about her whereabouts, or recognise the man she was seen with on the CCTV footage, you should let the police know. You can contact them on 101, quoting log 0957 of January 27. If you see Lidia, you should call 999 immediately.
Lidia’s description
Lidia is white, slim, and described as having dark eyes. She has a few distinctive features to look out for: her hair is dyed red and she has braces. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, white top, black leggings and white Nike trainers. Another key identifier to be aware of is that she speaks with a Romanian accent.
A police spokesperson has issued the following message to the public:
If you know who this man is, or if this is you, please come forward and contact us as you may have information that can help us find Lidia.
The search for the missing teen is currently underway.
