iPhone 14: Leaked images show three radical redesigns to expect

While Apple fans wait impatiently for the unveiling of the new iPhone 14 on September 07, rumours are making the rounds about what this phone would look like. According to New York Post, a video circulating on Chinese social media site Weibo, purports to give details of the radical new designs that the iPhone line would possess.

Colours

In the video reposted on Twitter by DuanRui – who has an impressive record of being right about these speculations –, it would appear the much-anticipated phone will come with a shimmering finish which would look purple from certain angles. Prior to this, it had been reported that Apple intends releasing the new phone range in purple, navy blue, gold, graphite and silver, according to the New York Post.

Bigger camera

One of the expected upgrades in the iPhone 14 can be seen in the camera. Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed last year that he expected there would be a 48-megapixel camera in the high-end iPhone 14 models. He predicted that the soon-to-be-released phones might also have 8K video recording capacity, taking the iPhone 14 range to the ‘next level’, he was cited by MacRumours to have said:

In terms of pixel size, the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and new 2H22 iPhone are about 1.7um, 2um, and 1.25um, respectively… We believe that the camera quality of the new 2H22 iPhone will elevate mobile phone camera photography to a new level.

Difference in size

Fans should expect to see an iPhone 14 which is slightly larger than previous models, leaked images of prototypes show. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will have a camera bump of 36.73mm by 38.21mm, larger than the iPhone 13 range. The new range of phones will also likely have autofocus capabilities to improve video calls.
