Today being a Labour Day in North America, you might be thinking it’ll be smart to take advantage of widely advertised sales to buy an iPhone. But you might want to wait for a few more days, lest you don’t get your money’s worth.

Be patient

Forbes News’ Anthony Krazc hinted that Labour Day sales on iPhone 13 and the Apple Watch 7 should be ignored as retailers are trying to push these ‘old’ stocks out the door in anticipation of the iPhone 14.

Apple is set to hold its ‘Far Out’ event which will outdoor the iPhone 14 and Series 8 Apple Watch. This means there will be significant price cuts on older models. Rumours suggest the iPhone 14 will be the most expensive Apple phone yet so if you don’t want to make that investment but still want to upgrade your phone to a 13, you should wait a few more days.

You’ll be able to snag the iPhone 13 for even less and the “entry level” iPhone model will get even better as Apple does their yearly performance bump to keep the iPhone SE relevant.

Even cheaper

If you are looking for something new but cheaper, you can opt for the iPhone 11 as Apple has the iPhone 11 still available for sale on their site as the ‘just above the iPhone SE’ option. This spot will be filled by the iPhone 12 after Wednesday’s announcement as the iPhone 13 gets bumped down a spot in the inventory order, according to Forbes News.

That means those iPhone 11 devices will end up in the Refurbished and Clearance section of the Apple Store at an unbelievable discount.
