Owing to its popularity and rising demands for gourmet salts like sea salt, foodies now have the option of a wide range of salts in the market packaged in handy bottles with built-in grinders. Somehome cooks have been very surprised to learn that they might not have been using some of these salt-grinders in the market to their full potential.

Much as people were shocked to learn, the proper way to close a cereal box, or even what the small metal cap on a kitchen sink is for, a viral video on the Internet is showing people a secret setting for their salt-grinder.

TikToker reveals lesser-known salt-grinder hack

TikToker @rightguysreview publishes food and kitchen related hacks on his page, which currently has more than a million followers. One of the many mind-blowing hacks he shared in his videos, was the revelation of a secret setting in salt-grinders. It turns out that not many of us were aware of it.

His video starts with him saying,

Do you know these salt shaker things? Well, did you know you can actually change it from fine to ground? I never knew that. Who knew that?

Then he demonstrates how by pushing a protruding part on the cap of some salt-grinders, you can change the fineness with which the shaker grinds the salt.

Of course, the creator also gives demo of what he is talking about, showing how the cap grinds the shaker more finely after a simple push to change the setting.

Reactions to the salt-grinder 'hack'

Turns out being able to observe ground salt on a kitchen counter is not so easy after-all.
