McDonald's customers warned about possible virus exposure

The news came to light when a customer who dined at the McDonald's created a TikTok about this bizarre experience.

Indeed, health authorities in Vancouver have notified McDonald's diners at 3695 Lougheed Hwy, Vancouver about a possible exposure to hepatitis A, earmarking what steps they should take next.

The notice by the authorities on Instagram says,

Although the risk of transmission to the public is low, Vancouver Coastal Heath Public Health advises anyone who consumed food at this restaurant during this time period to monitor themselves for symptoms of hepatitis A, which can take two to seven weeks to develop after exposure and last for about two months.

An update to this post states that the authorities offered free immunisation to everyone who dined at this restaurant from April 29 – May 9.

The TikTok posted under the handle @hurricanekristine showed the notice by the Vancouver health authorities, and the process of the TikToker getting vaccinated against the possible exposure to the virus.

Understandably, McDonald's customers are mortified by the possibility that a fast-food trip might have exposed them to such a serious virus.

One comment on the TikTok of the McDonald's customer states,

I work across the street and my half my coworkers ate there for the entire outbreak duration

Others couldn't believe the situation. One person said,

Omg I would actually lose my mind

Another comment states,

This is my sign to never eat there again

One customer came to know about the exposure through the TikTok. Their comment read,

Thank you for your public service because I’ve just realised I’ve been exposed too
