McDonald’s customer finds unhygienic surprise inside her fries

As per the report, it seems Kingswinford branch of McDonald's is one of the worst rated franchisees of the fast-food brand in the UK. Many diners have slammed the restaurant both with low scores as well as their scathing reviews on Tripadvisor.

As per one review left by a customer, they actually found false nails inside their food. The article quoted the review as,

After finding a false nail in our chips we took our meal back for a refund and was offered a £10 voucher.

The review proceeds to describe how the restaurant was not really forthcoming in apologizing for the food hygiene fail. The comment continues saying,

However they proceeded to insinuate that the nail was ours by saying only male staff worked on the fries station, however the bag was brought out by a female to us in our car with the chips being on the top of the order.
We are an all male household so the nail is definitely NOT ours.

Finding foreign objects such as nail extensions in food, is definitely a violation of hygiene and sanitation guidelines. It can also be a health hazard, and definitely needs to be addressed seriously.

Some of the reviews quoted in the report states,

What a disgusting meal we have just had delivered!! 2 items missing and items what were there were stone cold.
Rang them and was told contact just eat not here !! Never ever will we use this branch again.

However, not all customers were unhappy, as reflected by a number of positive reviews. One particularly appreciative one reads,

Went on the off chance last night . Staff serving were so friendly and happy. The chap taking the order was singing it through and everyone in the que were laughing

McDonald's response to inquiries by the Daily Star states,

Our restaurant teams work hard to ensure every customer who orders a McDonald’s has a positive experience, and we’re disappointed to hear of any instances that fall short of our high standards.
We’d encourage any customer with a complaint to either speak to a member of the crew in the restaurant or get in touch with our customer services team
