However, one Burger King customer, instead of being amazed by the brand new summer surprises, ended up with a mystery food-item, the contents of which were both confusing and gross.

Sadly, this is not the first time a Burger King customer was left horrified after she opens her food order. Here's what happened in the latest incident.

Burger King customer receives a mystery item

A Burger King customer took to Reddit's Burger King sub-Reddit in order to voice their confusion and frustration about the bizarre food they received from the fast-food restaurant.

The customer had ordered a regular bacon cheeseburger with extra onions, but even in their wildest dreams could they have foreseen the monstrosity of a burger that they were served by the fast-food chain.

Their post was captioned,

BK can you explain pls?

The post showed a video of the burger the customer received. The item seems like a very unappetising assemblage of un-toasted thick slices of white bread stacked together. Layered within the bread are: a grey patty, cheese, pickles and ketch-up all smushed together.

The video left even people on the forum confused, as many asked the poster what exactly was the food they ordered from Burger King, since the packaged food was unrecognisable.

Reactions to the video

The video of the terribly assembled item with un-toasted buns was enough to get other Burger King fans all fired up. One person stated,

Gross, and I love BK. So they need to fire someone!

Another viewer stated on similar lines,

Someone needs to get fired!

One Redditor pointed out the inepitude of the restaurant saying,

they deadass slapped some regular sandwich bread and called it a day

Another commenter validated the confusion of the customer stating,

My guess is you were handed the wrong sandwich, or someone mixed up the buns when making two sandwiches and you still wound up with the wrong one.

There has been no comment or explanation from Burger King on the matter as of yet.
