Masks have now become fashion items for some people who have decided to wear brand-name masks, and the surgical version is gradually being swapped in favour of colourful and original models. But that's not all! Masks are now being integrated into clothing items as well.

The mask dress, a new trend?

With the increasingly cooler temperatures, turtleneck dressesare making a comeback. Recently, the ready-to-wear brand PrettyLittleThing took this trend by storm and created a ‘mask dress’ model.

The concept? A skin-tight turtleneck dress with an integrated mask with loops which can be slipped behind the ears. This outfit, which can be had for £17, is very popular on the web.

An outfit creating a buzz on social networks

One thing about this outfit is that it makes people talk. Some internet users have described the top new fashion accessory as brilliant. The British fashion brand even called on Kate Moss' little sister, Lottie Moss, to promote this new piece on social networks.

However, it should be remembered that for optimal effectiveness, fabric masks must meet a certain set of specifications. This notably concerns the type of fabric which should be used, the number of folds, the shape of the mask... We’re not sure that the mask dress is the best way to protect oneself and others from the virus.
