Love Island Week 2: From love triangles, dumping and new bombshells to the best memes of the week

Love Island series 11 has successfully finished its week 2 and it has gone up in ratings for the first time in a long time. Whether it be Joey Essex stirring up things in the villa for Nicole, Ciaran and Harriett or Harriett, Jess and Ronnie or the arrival of his ex-fling as a bombshell, week 2 has served entertainment in all forms.

Most things this week revolved around two significant love triangles in the villa, a brutal dumping and the arrival of three bombshells.

Right from the start, the week started spelling trouble for Ronnie as Jes confronted him about his recoupling speech. The iconic speech where he chose to couple up with Jess but only talked about Harriett. Mimii was sent on a date with new bombshell Omar after being left single during the recoupling.

Ronnie and Ayo’s ‘scrambled heads’ and inability to make a decision dominated much of the villa dynamics this week. Ronnie got an ultimatum from Jess to choose between her and Harriett as he took the ‘deadline’ lightly. Ayo, on the other hand, kissed Mimii in bed and told her the next day he was still open about getting to know Uma. A dumping made Patsy Field and Munveer Jabbal leave the villa.

Elsewhere, Omar and Sean were seen taking advantage of the love triangles as the former made a beeline for Uma and the latter pursued Jess. Week 2 also saw Joey and Samantha go on their first date together where viewers realised he has got the ick from her. Joey revealed after the date that he was still open to knowing more people. To top it all, show bosses sent three sexy bombshells with one of them being Joey Essex’s ex-girlfriend.
