Sarah Ferguson: From Duchess of York to author, here are her highs and lows
Sarah Ferguson married Prince Andrew in 1986, and the pair had two daughters together: Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The couple announced they were getting a divorced in 1996, but remained close friends as they raised their children together. Indeed, the couple still live together to this day at Royal Lodge - although they do occupy different wings of the vast property!
Despite Prince Andrew's links to known criminal Jeffrey Epstein, Ferguson has always remained loyal to her ex-husband. She has said of their relationship:
We are the most extraordinary example of a unified family.
Indeed, she even claims that the father of her children is 'the finest man in my life'. However, aside from being Prince Andrew's ex-wife, she has had a full life of her own as an author and occasional TV personality. Here are her highs and lows over the years.
