Due to her increased activity, it is believed that Queen Camilla will be taking a break from her royal responsibilities, and don’t worry, it has nothing to do with her health. According to sources, the Queen Consort is planning a week-long holiday in the sun.

Queen Camilla’s break comes as the Royal Family deals with a wave of conspiracy theories concerning Princess Kate’s health. Indeed, the Princess of Wales hasn’t been seen since Christmas. In January, it was announced she had undergone abdominal surgery and will be out of action until at least Easter.

Queen Camila to go on a week-long holiday

As reported by Mirror, sources have claimed that Queen Camilla will be jetting off today, March 3, for a week-long holiday overseas to enjoy the sun. This comes after Queen Camilla has been a constant since two key Royals have been resting.

Indeed, Prince William was unable to attend King Constantine of Greece’s memorial service on February 28, citing ‘personal reasons’. This meant Queen Camilla led the rest of the family at the service in Windsor.

Not only has Queen Camilla been filling in for other Royals, but she also has events for herself to attend. As per Mirror, Queen Camilla was the most senior Royal at the reception for a children’s creative writing competition at Buckingham Palace. Then she held a conference with Olena Zelenska, the First Lady of Ukraine at Clarence House.

Royal author Ingrid Seward told Mirror that it is likely that King Charles ‘insisted’ his wife take a break and be away from the public eye.

She explained:

He will see that she is exhausted after recent months. [...] But she has also been the one who has had to step up to the busy schedule of royal engagements. [...] She certainly deserves some rest and relaxation.

Queen Camilla will be back in action as soon as she returns

During Queen Camilla’s week-long holiday, other Royals will be filling in for her. Prince William, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh are all scheduled for the upcoming week.

Even though Queen Camilla is believed to be jetting off on holiday, she will be straight back at work as soon as she returns home. Indeed, the Queen Consort will attend the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on March 11.

As per thecommonwealth.org, Commonwealth Day is:

An annual celebration observed by people all over the Commonwealth in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Americas, the Pacific and Europe.

Commonwealth Day, which is on Monday, March 11 marks the beginning of a week-long series of events taking place around the world, the events include faith and civic gatherings, debates, school assemblies, flag-raising ceremonies and cultural events. The theme this year is
